In the last two days, the winds have been minimal. It has given the fire fighters a chance to take the offensive. Several huge Caterpillar tractors have cut a fire break, and fire fighters have done controlled burns ahead of the advancing fire. They have enveloped the fire and tried to give it no place to grow.
If the winds stay down, I think it will work. But when dealing with Nature, one is best to remain humble. It ain't out until it is out.
No sign for rain in the next week forecast. We are still on Evacuation Alert, which means we need to be staying close to home, and ready to pack up and leave with a ten minute warning. It is like being on home arrest with out cable TV.
Tomorrow, Friday, Jannie begins chemo therapy. This will occur once every three weeks, for the next six months. So, it begins.
We were blessed with a reading of Psalm 84 recently. :)
