Answered Prayer

I've been praying for the safe return of two dogs to a friend. Al Simpson is a friend that goes way back to the time we spent in the Army. That would be about 35 years ago. Anyway, Al wrote an email last week and asked for prayer, because his two little dogs were stolen out of the yard. They are the cute little pug breed. Anyone who has had a dog knows that dogs are more than pets. They somehow become like family and when they are gone, a real sense of loss and grieving results.

Well, last night, he turned it over to God. Oh, he had been praying, too, but one part of the deal had been missing. He had not prayed for the thief of his precious dogs. So, last night, Al struggled though forgiving the offender(s) and settled that with God. Al's daughter made a posting about the lost dogs on Craig's List.com and said that the offender(s) were forgiven, but would they please return the dogs?

This morning, at 7:30am, a young lady knocked at Al's door with his darling little buddies. It seems her now "ex-boyfriend" had "acquired" the dogs. She saw the posting about the missing little pugs and knew that she had to do the right thing.

Not only is it an incredible reminder that God cares about the things we care about, but this event has now a possible eternal dimension. Al and his wife now have a connection with the gal who returned the dogs. I think I'll pray for her salvation, and that God will use Al and Susan to draw this precious lost young woman back to her God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if God uses the loss and return of the pugs, to save a lost soul and return it to its rightful place, in God's family?
